With support from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Horizon Foundation for Development has concluded its Provision of Market-Relevant Livelihoods Training Project in Taiz Governorate, aimed at empowering young men and women with the professional skills needed to improve their livelihoods and enhance their employment opportunities.

The project benefited 75 male and female trainees across several vocational specializations. The training programmes aimed to develop participants’ practical abilities and equip them with skills aligned with labour market needs, helping them access decent employment opportunities, establish small businesses, and achieve greater economic independence.

The project forms part of broader efforts to promote sustainable economic development and support young people and women with the skills and knowledge needed to overcome economic challenges and turn their potential into tangible opportunities to improve their living conditions.

Horizon Foundation for Development reaffirms its commitment to implementing development programmes and projects focused on capacity building, expanding livelihood opportunities, and empowering the most vulnerable groups, in partnership with donors and international organizations, to contribute to sustainable development in Yemen.

The Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and the International Organization for Migration for their support and partnership in implementing this project and contributing to vocational training and skills development opportunities for young people in Taiz Governorate.
