As part of its program to enhance health services and protect the most vulnerable groups, Horizon Foundation for Development, through its Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector, distributed health kits to displaced people and the host community in Al-Salam Camp, Dar Saad District in Aden.
The health kits included various hygiene supplies and jerry cans for storing drinking water, aimed at meeting basic needs to improve hygiene standards and reduce the risk of waterborne diseases.
The distribution was accompanied by an awareness campaign focused on promoting healthy and preventive behaviors in light of the spread of cholera. Beneficiaries were educated on preventive measures against the disease and the importance of personal hygiene.
This project is part of a series of initiatives implemented by Horizon Foundation with the support of GERUK organization in several governorates, aiming to improve the health and living conditions of displaced persons and host communities and to promote health awareness in these areas
