Cash Assistance
Providing cash assistance to the households affected by disasters is an effective, successful, and transparent way of delivering humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable groups. Horizon Foundation for Development implements unconditional emergency cash distribution to newly displaced individuals due to escalating conflicts in several governorates. The project has contributed to securing the basic needs of those affected by the conflict in their new displacement sites, rescuing them from the specter of famine, and promoting peace and social cohesion.
The project targets recently displaced households, households with breastfeeding or pregnant women, widows, as well as households headed by women, elderly individuals, or those with children under the age of five. It also includes households with persons with disabilities and chronic illnesses.
