In partnership with Islamic Help UK and funded by Penny Appeal, Horizon Foundation for development distributed food parcel to 2,292 vulnerable people who are affected by the current crisis in Yemen in the most unprivileged neighborhoods in Sana’a city.
The project targeted the extremely poor families with food parcels that cover 2 months of the need of the targeted families. Mr. Mosab Al-Ghili, Horizon Foundation Executive Director said that this project comes as a fruit of cooperation between Islamic Help UK – Yemen Program and Horizon Foundation and all teams worked in the field worked in voluntary basis. He added that this project was preceded by a survey which was carried out by the foundation that determined the target beneficiaries.
At the end of the project, Dr. Jamal Al-Haddi; Islamic Help UK - Country Director and Mr. Mosab Al-Ghili honored the community-based volunteers who work to distribute food commodities to beneficiaries.
